Chief Spartivento

Capo Spartivento is a promontory that borders the Gulf of Teulada to the east and that of Cagliari to the west. It is located in the municipality of Domus De Maria, about 6 km from Chia. The peculiarity of this Cape is the Lighthouse, built in 1866, renovated in 2006 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in Sardinia currently in operation. To reach this lighthouse you have to travel 4 km of dirt road starting from the Bay of Chia. Despite the rather long walk it is worth visiting the top of this Lighthouse!
